The New Year Resolution : Well, I'd like to equip a 3D TV :p

From mid of 2010 till now they talk a lot about the 3D TV, I guess I can't resist any more even at first I'd like to wait for it to be a little more stable. I have a look on the net almost every night after work for some brands and models and especially the price! Most of the best are still expensive.
I impress the glassless 3D TVs which don't require the glasses usage. But as they announced a couple of days at the CES 2011 in LasVegas, this technology is not really mature. There were only 3 manufacturers: Sony, Toshiba and another one I forget (just read it in the newspaper) presenting this TV up there. They said that to get the best of 3D vision, we need to be in a specific position, not too far, not too close, not too much on the left or on the right and each move we make can make us lost the 3D effect. And yet, those are not commercialized on the market yet. We have to wait in 4 or 5 years according to the news.
That's why I aim at those with glasses requirement, at last, those in the market at the moment. There are 3 types of TV screen: Plasma, LCD and LED. The differences are the making materials themselves and frequencies: 600hz, 200hz and 200hz. I ignore its technical details. But they said the more the frequencies are the better images' movements are. Their design appearances are not too much different.
After some research on local hightech online shops, I found the Samsung brand offering its model PS50C490 (plasma 50' Series 4) on the left as slim as LCD, LE40C750 (LCD 40' Series 7) on the right with the price less than 1000€.

Details on Samsung France website

While both has quite the same specification: Full HD, 3D conversion (from 2D->3D) actually I can't really find this specification on other products, allshare application...etc, I can't really decide to choose one of those.

Some said that Plasma is better in term of image quality comparing to LCD but consumes more power. Another Plasma's bad point is it displays better images only in a less lighten room otherwise there would be reflects on its screen.

To profit all of the 3D famous technology, next we need the viewers, the glasses! They said the glasses only support unfortunately its manufacturer. So I have no choice rather than Samsung brand. Normally, in the market there are 2 types 3D glasses: active and passive. As passive glasses are used in the theater, very cheaper than the active ones used with 3D TV.

There are 3 Samsung actives glasses models : SSG-2200AR, SSG-2200AB and SSG-2200KR (for kids). There are not much difference in term of technology. SSG-2200AR/KR battery is rechargeable, while SSG-2200AB uses CR20-35 battery. Those glasses costs less than 100€ each.

Last but not least, we might want to play the 3D movie. Samsung also has the 3D Blueray player. It  looks completely like DVD player. There are several models but the most affordable one is BD-C5900 which can also plays DVD, VCD, CD, divx USB Key.

It contains particularly the internet application that we can access to Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and lots of more application on the Samsung Marketplace.

I think it is now ready to profit of the 3D experience :) (I hope so)
